Simply Shetland 4ply: 20g mini-skein - Glengairn
This is one of four bespoke shades resulting from a partnership with a commercial dye mill in southern Scotland. These have been carefully selected and dyed onto our popular Hillfoots Blend 4ply base yarn.
Spun from the 2019 Fleece Clip, this slightly neppy yarn has been worsted spun giving a more drapey feel than our usual wool-spun and fluffy yarn, and comes in at 360m per 100g.
This is a soft deep autumnal shade with flecks of the base colour clearly visible through it. It would sit well next to any of our undyed base shades, especially the undyed Emsket grey
Hillfoots Blend, or any of the other 100g or mini-skeins.
Glengairn is a popular photo stop on our autumn drives through Aberdeenshire, Birch trees and bracken make for some brilliantly fiery autumn colours.

Please note that this yarn will require a COLD wash at the project blocking stage as a little dye-bleed might otherwise occur.
